Prophet Nicholas Osei, otherwise known as Kumchacha, organizer behind the Heaven Gate Ministry, has promised never to make any commitment to the National Cathedral venture.

As per him, “the vast majority of the pastors engaged with the undertaking are evildoers” and that “before the basilica is finished, individuals managing it would have constructed multiple houses for themselves”.

He upholds the way of thinking by some Ghanaians that there are other squeezing needs that the public authority ought to put more premium on instead of building a sanctuary for God.

Kumchacha asserted in a meeting with Accra-based Onua TV that his kindred godly men who are directing the structure of the house of prayer are just there to battle for their own advantages.

"... before the Cathedral is completed, the people overseeing it would have built more than four houses for themselves; most of the pastors involved in the project are crooks. So, as for me, Kumchacha, my GH¢ 1 or GH¢ 2 will not go into this project. If I support the project with a penny, then call me a Monkey," the popular prophet said, as quoted by modernghana.com.
