Nana Addo begs teachers to call off strike and return to the classroom

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is begging the striking teachers to get back to the study hall while dealings go on with the public authority.

He said teachers ought to consider the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to be composed by third-year students in Junior High Schools (JHS).

On Monday, July 4, 2022, the four (4) Unions in Education, in particular Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), TEWU, and Coalition of Concerned Teachers, Ghana, pulled out their administrations in all the Pre-Tertiary educational space, to back their interest for the Cost-of-Living Allowance (COLA).
